Volume 1 Issue 3
Silent Night
Thread and acrylic on canvas
"Thread is used to tie or sew things together, hence I use it in my work to bind my subjects (people with people, people with their surroundings). This is how I think life is meant to be. People living in a world where race, religion, class and political parties do not divide us, but rather a world where we are all brothers and sisters."

Volume 2 Issue 1
Creole Woman
Thread and acrylic on canvas
"The woman in the painting is dancing away very happily. She forgets all the hardships and disappointments in her life and shows the world that she can be happy against all odds, thus sharing her happiness with all those around her. It symbolises the courage, strength and beauty of the woman."

Volume 3 Issue 3
Grannies Window
Thread and acrylic on canvas
"This is one of the paintings inspired by my childhood memories. I remember spending time with my grandparents during holidays. One of the images that will never leave my mind is that of my great-granny who had one particular window that she sat by every day. Although she was mostly blind, she knew all that was going on outside. She always knew when I was doing something I was not supposed to. Up to this day I still wonder how she did that."

Dominica Sunset
Thread and acrylic on canvas
"The painting is called Dominica Sunset. Sunsets have always fascinated me due to the wide variety of colours produced by nature and arranged in such a beautiful way. This painting is one of my favorite from the series."
